Where to Shop in Sacramento on Black Friday…

mw, December 2, 2022December 12, 2023

Some of the cute little stores in Sacramento have gone out of business over the last few years or happen to be 1000 ft. below the Golden 1 Center arena construction-level at the moment. Here is a list of five stores to shop at on Black Friday that have great vibes, interesting things to look at, and for the most part, street parking only…

Number One: Garden of Enchantment

Precisely how many enchantments can be stuffed into one of those Old Sacramento retail store spaces? Take a trip down to the Garden of Enchantment to find out. The Garden has quite a variety including, specialized (positive-thinking) calendars, frankincense, beautiful handmade jewelry boxes, and more. This place is literally packed up with gift potential. 126 K st. Sacramento, CA 95814. 916.446.7950 http://www.gardenofenchantment.net/

Number Two: University Art

University Art has a lot more gift merchandise than what they seem to have by just taking a quick glance at their website. There are some really great things here that people will definitely want for Christmas. A nice drafting table for example, a finely crafted journal to write in, or perhaps a fun art supply kit designed for children; things that will get anyone’s creative juices flowing. University Art also has quality framing services. 2601 J St, Sacramento, CA 95816 916.443.5721 http://www.universityart.com/

Number Three: Dimple Music

Dimple Music is keeping our spirits up in the old Tower Records location on Broadway. This store still keeps those great late night hours, open until 10 p.m. during the week and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Dimple has new and used CD’s, DVD’s, games, and records, and there’s a Dimple on Arden Way that’s completely dedicated to vinyl. 2500 16th Street Sacramento, CA 916.441.2500 https://www.dimple.com/

Number Four: Z Gallerie The Downtown Plaza

Z Gallerie is MIA, but there’s another Z in the Fountains Shopping Center in Roseville, and if you shop there on Black Friday, they will have holiday entertainment. Victorian Carolers Strolling the Center from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Cinderella Carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on November 27. The Z Gallerie is a great place to purchase a fantastic new bedspread, an abstract art print in a cool looking frame, or some other type of fabulousness for the home. The Z Gallerie is known for making cleverly designed décor that’s interesting and functional. 1182 Roseville Parkway #130 Roseville, CA 95678 916.786.2555. http://www.zgallerie.com/

Number Five: Land Bark Pet Supplies

Land Bark Pet Supplies is a sweet little store nestled inside of a small shopping center on Riverside Blvd. Customers speak highly of the store and describe it as cozy and pleasant. Land Bark has dog, cat, rabbit, and small animal food, toys, and supplies. Is the special someone in your life a gigantic floppy, who needs a new Mr. Lion chew toy like yesterday? Or have you been trying to get your boyfriend to switch Mittens to raw cat food? Pet supplies are great for Christmas. Friendly puppies on their leashes are also welcome to visit the store. 3200 Riverside Blvd Sacramento, CA 95818 916.448.8020 http://www.landbarkpetsupplies.com/
